Parent Information
Parents are their child’s first and most important educators. At Fledglings our aim is to work fully in partnership to ensure their children receive outstanding quality care and education.
Open door policy – each child is allocated a key person who is available at the beginning or end of their session.
Key person role – Settling children into the setting by developing a trusting relationship and supporting their interests. From this secure base they can explore new ideas and experiences together with the support of parents. Observing, assessing, monitoring them and reporting back this information to parents regularly.
Play along sessions – available throughout the year for parents and carers to join in with their children, see what happened in setting and how they can support their child’s learning and development.
Reports and meetings – provided when information is shared regarding their progress and next steps.
Workshops – to support parents and carers.
