In English, the children have planned and created a diary entry in the role of Lil, retelling the events that have happened so far. All of the children have tired exceptionally hard and I have throughly enjoyed reading their work.
In Maths, the children have continued to learn about mass and capacity. The children have learnt there are 1,000g in 1kg and they have measured masses of different objects. The children have also worked out equivalent masses and compared masses.
In Science, the children conducted an experiment to see how different surfaces impact the speed of a toy car travelling down a ramp. The children have learnt a smooth surface has less friction, so the toy car would travel further. Bumpy surfaces have more friction so the toy car travels slower.
In History, the children have learnt how there were two civilisations called Upper and Lower Egypt, King Menes invaded lower Egypt and became the first pharaoh of Ancient Egypt.
In PE, the children have taken part in athletics trials, their effort and resilience was superb!
To celebrate World Downsyndrome Day, it was great seeing children in their bright/odd socks. KS2 children have also learnt a song, seeing them perform it during assembly this morning was wonderful!
