We have had a lovely week in Year 3G!
On Monday, we had our very first drama lesson. We are exploring the Shakespearean play, A Midsummer's Nihht Dream. The children have been introduced to some of the main characters and the start of the storyline. In pairs, the children rehearsed lines based on the mischief Puck gets up to. The children practised and staged their performances and even adapted their lines and express their creativity. All of the children put huge efforts into this task and were super confident in performing them.
At the start of the week, we also started our new DT topic. We are going to be designing and making drawstring bags for an explorer to put some of their important items in. The children found out what drawstring bags were and analysed examples that are on the market.
There was amazing perseverance in Maths this week. We have been multiplying and diving two digit numbers by one digit numbers. The children partitioned the two digit number into its tens and ones to make it easier to multiply and divide each of the partitioned numbers. These answers were then added together to get an overall answer.
The children thoroughly enjoyed learning the Spanish words for a range of different animals. They were able to recall them before writing sentences using 'Tengo' and 'No tengo' to indicate if they have the animal or not.
In PE, the children loved practising their rugby skills this week. They have been really concentrating on the techniques of throwing a rugby ball from their side and trying to throw with accuracy.
