This week, we have had the pleasure of engaging with an amazing PSHE workshop with Life Edication. We learnt all about our bodies and met some delightful characters. We discussed the jobs of our brain and learnt lots of facts about the skeleton and muscles. 
In Maths, we have started practising the column methods using an exchange. We used place value counters to initially understand how to exchange 10 ones for 1 ten or 10 tens for 1 hundred. We have quickly understood how to successfully exchange and use the column methods to both add and subtract larger numbers. 
In Art, we started to practise some of the techniques that Leonardo Davinci used. We created tints of different colours by adding varying amounts of white and even had a good o at blending them together. In Da Vinci's paintings, he used lighter colours in the distance to create perspective and darker or brighter colours in the foreground. We annotated the Disney castle, which has used this technique to make the top of the castle seem further away (by making it a lighter pink), making it seem taller than it actually is. 
During Spanish this week, we have learnt how to ask someone how old they are and how to reply to the question. We identified different ages and wrote a sentence to say how old we are: Tengo ocho años.
