Hey everyone!
What a week we've had in Year 5! ๐
First off, we've gone on a wild adventure comparing the North Pole and the South Pole. ๐งโ๏ธ We discovered some mind-blowing facts about these icy places—like how the North Pole is surrounded by ocean, while the South Pole sits on a whole continent of ice. And did you know that penguins live in the south, while polar bears are in the north?
Next, we’ve been flexing our creativity and imagination muscles in narrative writing. ๐ We've planned out our stories and started writing them. The ideas flowing from everyone have been absolutely fantastic.
In our personal development sessions, we've dived into the world of democracy. ๐ณ๏ธ We’ve learnt about how decisions are made and how everyone’s voice is important. It’s amazing to see how we can all share our ideas and listen to each other.
Maths has been a fraction frenzy! ๐งฎ We’ve been continuing with fractions, comparing them, and getting to grips with some tricky concepts. It’s been tough, but everyone’s making great progress.
And in DT, our sewing skills are truly shining through. ๐งตโจ We’ve started our final piece—sewing tack stitches on our hats, getting them all ready to use the sewing machine. It's been so rewarding to see everyone's hard work come together in these lovely creations. Keep up the great work!
That's all for this week. Stay curious, keep learning, and let’s make next week even more amazing!
