This week in Year 4, we've delved into a variety of engaging activities and made some exciting discoveries across our subjects. In Maths, we've been multiplying one and two-digit numbers by one and dividing two-digit and three-digit numbers by one. We've also continued working on our rapid recall of times tables, incorporating lots of fun and engaging activities.
Our English lessons have been filled with intrigue as we've explored the characters of Aphrodite and Athene. Using evidence from the book, children have made thoughtful character judgments, deepening their understanding of these fascinating figures from Greek mythology.
Science has been all about circuits this week. We’ve continued looking at simple circuits and explored all the necessary components to make them work. Using iPads, children experimented with ways to make a bulb brighter, which led to some enlightening discoveries!
In DT, we've started investigating different switches, examining which ones will be best suited for our spotlight project. This week's Carousel activities have included Geography retrieval. We’ve also continued to focus on our rapid recall of times tables, ensuring everyone is sharpening their skills.
Make sure you keep up the hard work and practice over the weekend using the link on the homework slip and your times tables practice booklet. Consistent practice will build your confidence in rapid recall, both in and out of order.
Have a lovely weekend, everyone!
