Boccia Champions

A huge congratulations goes to the Wood Fold boccia team for finishing in joint first place in the annual Wigan boccia championships! The team was tested throughout the competition from some tough opposition from the other schools. However, the team demonstrated fantastic teamwork, patience, strategy and accuracy in each game with Wood Fold dominating the group stage with ease. Below are the results from pool 2.

From this, the team were put into a winner’s group (which consisted of the winning teams from all the other groups). Once again, the team displayed excellent precision and tactics to out manoeuvre the other teams. Overall, in the final group, Wood Fold won two matches and lost only one. This resulted in finishing on the same number of points as 12 Apostles. Another fantastic achievement from Wood Fold and what a start to 2025!
