To begin the week, the children explored different emotions we experience during Perosnal Development. The children were able to identify what they can do when they experience different emotions and feelings.
In Maths, the children have been sharing and grouping. They learnt sharing- how many is in each group and grouping- how many groups are there? The children have been multiplying by 3 and 4 as well as learning the inverse, dividing.
In English, the children have read chapters 5 and 6, we discussed how the Snarget brothers have different accents and Clive Kings shows the difference in dialects between Barney and the Snarget brothers by the use of unusual spellings when they are speaking.
In History, the children explored how the prehistoric ages are named after the material of tools they used. The children completed their own research to find out the different tools they used within the ages and their purpose. The children used this information to create a table. Following this, the children created a museum label describing one of the tools they had found.
In Science, the children have continued to learn about the 5 food groups and the eat well plate. The children learnt about the phrase 'healthy balanced diet' and why it is important for our bodies.
In Spanish, the children have been recapping everything they have learnt so far: items in their pencil case, their age and different feelings.
We have ended the week with sketching different mountain ranges in Art.
