Hi everyone!
We’ve had another busy week in Year 6 and can’t wait to share what we’ve been up to:
Maths:
We’ve wrapped up our fractions unit! The class has worked so hard and made great progress. Lots of “light bulb moments” this week – well done, everyone!

English:
Our focus in Pig Heart Boy led to some fantastic diary entries from Cameron’s perspective. The children really captured his thoughts and emotions at a key point in the story – it’s been wonderful to see their creativity shine. We're looking forward to continuing the story of Cameron: he has now decided to go ahead with the heart transplant and we're eagerly awaiting the outcome of his operation!

History:
This week, we expanded our focus to Tudor England, exploring the monarchy and the Reformation. The discussions around Henry VIII and his many changes were a highlight!

Art:
In Art, we’ve been experimenting with depth, tone, and shadow in portraits. The class loved trying out different pencil types and techniques, and their work is coming along beautifully.
