This week, we have had Miss Banks in class with us. Miss Banks is has done a week of work experience with Y3G and has loved working with the children.
In Spanish, we have learnt a very catchy song about the colours and the children did a brilliant job of recalling and recording them,
In Music, the children have composed their own short pieces. They were tasked to use a glockenspiel to compose a short soundscape in a minor scale for when Rhidopis is captured by pirates in the book Egyptian Cinderella.
In RE, we have explored what the Holy Spirit means to different denominations within the Christian Religion. The children have written brilliant paragraphs to explain how each denomination thinks of the Holy Spirit is a different way which impacts the ways in which they worship. The children also learned about the festival of Pentecost, specifically the Whitsunday celebration. They designed their own Whitsunday banners with the knowledge of Christian symbols.
The children loved learning about the different farming seasons from Ancient Egypt. They were able to identify the names of the three seasons and e plain what happened in each.
