We're thrilled to share all the exciting things our little year 1 learners have been up to this week. 🌟

English

In our English lessons, we kicked off an engaging reading adventure with "The Rabbit Problem" by Emily Gravett. The children have been making thoughtful inferences based on the front cover and exploring what happens in the story during January and February. It's been wonderful to see their imaginations come alive as they predict and discuss the storyline!

Maths

Our young mathematicians have been diving into subtraction on a number line within 20. They're developing strong foundational skills by practicing subtraction in various ways. Watching them confidently solve problems and master this concept has been truly rewarding.

Science

In Science, we've been learning about weather symbols. The children have enjoyed discovering different symbols that represent various weather conditions and discussing their meanings. Their curiosity and enthusiasm for understanding the world around them have been inspiring.

P.E.

During P.E. lessons, we've focused on simple tactics to help the children improve their coordination and teamwork skills. They've been participating in activities and games that encourage strategic thinking and collaboration. It's been great to see them working together and having fun.

Special Event: Sponsored Run

This week, we held a sponsored run to raise money for cancer research. Our Year 1 students showed incredible determination and spirit as they ran to support a worthy cause. We're so proud of their efforts and the positive impact they're making.

Thank you for joining us on this journey of learning and growth. Stay tuned for more updates and highlights from our Year 1 adventures! 🚀
