We have had a wonderful week in Y3G!
At the start of the week, the children conducted their own research in History. We found out about different prehistoric tools and recorded the: name, material, prehistoric age and purpose of the tools. We then used the information to write a Museum Label for a selected tool.
in PSHE, we explored the different zones our feelings can fall into. We considered what activities could help us return to a green zone of calmness if we ever experience big feelings.
In English, we sequenced the hunting trip that Stig and Barney went on. We considered how Barney felt during each of the events and wrote some beautiful sentences to explain Barney's change in feelings.
In Maths, we have learnt about division. The children have used their knowledge of timestables to help them find answers to division questions. We also identified the differences between sharing and grouping within division. This helped the children to understand what we do when we divide.
We have been concentrating on our sketching skills in Art this week. We studied the lines and shapes mountains make before attempting to draw our own outlines. It was very impressive!
In Spanish, we recapped all of the conversational language that we have covered and challenged the children to rehearse a short conversation in pairs to demonstrate their learning. ¡C'est estupend!
Thank you for all the kind donations towards the chocolate hamper. Well done to our raffle winner!
