This week in Y4H there has been lots of discovery, and learning. Here's what we have been up to.

Our English lessons have seen a burst of creativity as children stepped into the shoes of Elliot, writing diaries from his perspective and exploring his thoughts and feelings on his adventure with the gods. The imaginative writing has been fantastic, and it's been wonderful to see everyone's creativity shining through.

In Maths, we've been continuing with multiplication and division, focusing on related facts and informal methods. The children have been working hard to master these concepts, and their progress is impressive.

In Science we’ve delved into electrical hazards and how to overcome them.

In History, we transformed into history detectives, exploring primary sources that tell us all about the first Olympics. The children have enjoyed uncovering the fascinating history and seeing how it all began.

In DT we've started looking at different spotlights and their functions.

Our times tables focus this week has been on the 9s. We've been practicing rapid recall in and out of order, and the students have shown great enthusiasm in mastering this. Over the weekend, keep up the practice to build confidence in recalling them quickly. The link for practice is on the homework slip.

We hope everyone has a fantastic weekend!
