We had ana amazing start to the week in Singing Assembly! Y3G won the Golden Microphone award and 3 class points for their awesome effort in rehearsing one of the songs for the Christmas Concert.
In Art, we continued to explore atmospheric perspective. To do this, we practised adding colour to a middle ground imagine and a foreground image. We used thicker brushes with long brush strokes for the middle ground and short brush strokes with a small paint brush to get detail in the foreground image. Excitement filled the room during Handwriting this week! We have started using handwriting pens to practise forming our letters and prepare ourselves for after Christmas when we will use handwriting pens in all of our books! Some beautiful gold standard handwriting was produced in this practise.
In Spanish, we continued to learn different items found in a pencil case. We had a quick fire roun where Señorita Parsons would say an item in Spanish and we had to either lift the item up or give the correct action. It was very fun!
Everyone wowed me this week with their efforts in writing a diary entry. Beautiful similes were created and used to create imagery and everyone strived to use impressive and challenging vocabulary in their work.
Finally, we shared Jack's awesome entry into our Recomended Reading Journal. Jack loved the book 'To Wee or Not To Wee' which retells some of Shakespeare's most famous tales in a fun and engaging way. Jack clearly put a lot of time and effort into creating the recommendation (see the picture below) and wowed us with his presentation skills! Well done!
