Y2H have had a very busy week this week with lots of fantastic learning taking place.
In English, we have started our new text, 'Daisy Saves the Day'. We made predictions using clues on the front cover of what we think the story will be about.
In maths, we have continued with 'Addition and Subtraction'. The children have been finding 10 more or 10 less of a given number and adding and subtracting a 1 digit number from a 2-digit number.
In Science, we have been exploring the life cycle of a frog. We read a lovely story called 'Growing Frogs' and learned that the cycle begins with frogspawn, which changes into tadpoles, tadpoles then become bigger and sprout legs and arms to become froglets and then at 12 weeks the froglet becomes a frog.
In geography, we have continued with our 'Settlements and Cities' unit. The children wrote sentences to explain which human and physical features make London attractive to tourists.
Unfortunately, we weren't able to do Forest School this week because the weather was very cold but hopefully next week we will be able to.
We are going to be rehearsing our Christmas performance as often as we can, so if the children can try and practice their lines at home, that would be wonderful.
Hope you have a lovely weekend.
