Just Join In Festival
Children from Year 3 and 4 attended the annual Wigan 'Just Join in' event, which consisted of fun and engaging activities throughout the day. The group had an amazing time at Wigan Youth Zone, were they took part in activities and games such as boccia, new age kurling, as well as drum playing whilst being active and on the move. Overall, the children had a wonderful day out with lots of fun memories being made.
Equal Access School Award 2024
Due to our incredible commitment to girls football, Wood Fold have been awarded with the 'Equal Access School Award' for 2024. This recognises the incredible work that the PE team has put in place to provide opportunities for girls equally within the curriculum and extra-curricular PE. In addition to this incredible award, our girls were in action in the Wigan Girls cup, were they won the group stage and made it all the way to the quarter finals, narrowly losing in the match. The girls have learnt a lot from the tournament and cannot wait to play in the next one!
