We've had a fantastic week in Year 5, packed with exciting activities and learning adventures. Here's a peek at what we've been up to:

Maths:
We've continued our journey with decimals, focusing on rounding to the nearest integer. It's been fun seeing how numbers can change just by rounding them up or down. Everyone's getting the hang of it!

English:
In our English lessons, we've been writing letters as Jabir from the Golden Horsemen of Baghdad. It's been amazing to step into his shoes and imagine life in Baghdad. The creativity and imagination in our letters have been brilliant!

Art:
Our art sessions have been all about paper manipulation. We've created a technique board to explore different ways to fold, cut, and shape paper for our sculptures. It's incredible how many different techniques there are!

Science:
We've started exploring the planets in our solar system. Learning about the different characteristics of each planet has been fascinating. Did you know Jupiter has 79 moons and that Venus' day is actually longer than its year? 🌌

Forest Schools:
In Forest Schools, we've been building shelters. It's been a great way to learn about teamwork and survival skills. Plus, it's always fun to be outdoors and get our hands dirty!

Well done for a fantastic week. Have a lovely weekend!
