This week we have started to learn about what plants need to grow. We have been looking after the sunflower seedlings we planted for World Down Syndrome Day and will be bringing them home today. We have looked at sunflowers painted by the artist Vincent Van Gogh and started to make our own sunflower collages.
We read Jack and the Beanstalk in drawing club and children enjoyed completing drawing and writing inspired by the text. We even planted our own bean seeds and look forward to watching them grow.
In Maths, we have explored the composition of 10 and began to think about odd and even numbers by looking at numicon number shapes.
Mr Carr has been very impressed with the children’s ability in dance again this week as they explored the four seasons through movement.
Rehearsals for our Mother's Day assembly are going well and the children are looking forward to performing in front of an audience next week.
We have filled our pompom jar again and are looking forward to having a treat! Well done to all our award winners this week, we are very proud of you.
Have a lovely weekend 😊
