We have had another brilliant week in Year 2 this week, I can't believe we have reached half term already!

In English, we finished reading 'Katie in London' and we wrote a setting description to describe the Queen's royal parade in front of Buckingham Palace.

In Maths, we started our new unit 'Addition and Subtraction' and we began using part whole models and bar models to make bonds to 10 and 20.

In History, we looked at Queen Victoria. We learned that she became Queen when she was 18 years old, she married Prince Albert and had 9 children. We compared Queen Victoria with Queen Elizabeth and discussed the similarities and differences between these two regal figures in British history.

In DT, we completed our bags! The children stitched their ribbons on and chose a fastening to complete their bag. I am so impressed with our finished products!

In PSHE, we created a class charter. We shared our ideas and created a set of rules that we agreed as a class to follow.

I hope you all have a lovely half term. Stay safe and be well behaved for your grown ups.
