Hello Year 5!

We've had a fantastic week full of exciting learning and activities. Here’s what we've been up to:

Science: We delved into the fascinating world of two great scientists, Galileo and Isaac Newton. We learnt about their groundbreaking theories and compared their ideas. It was amazing to see how their work has shaped our understanding of the world!

Design and Technology (DT): In our DT lessons, we explored cams and how different toys move using these mechanisms. This is all part of our project where we will be making our own moving toys using cam systems. We can't wait to see your creations in action!

Maths: We've been working hard on long multiplication, tackling problems up to 4 digit x 2 digit. You've all shown great determination and accuracy in your calculations. Keep up the excellent work!

English: We analysed the character of Father and summarised the first three chapters of Viking Boy. The discussions were insightful, and it was great to see how deeply you've thought about the characters and the story so far.

It's been a week full of discovery and creativity.
