Y6 Girls Football

On Tuesday, our Year 6 girls football team played in the Wigan School Games girls football competition, which was held at William Fosters. The girls were placed into a group stage against 6 other teams, with the top two teams progressing into the quarter finals. The girls played exceptionally well, battling hard to win the ball and move up the pitch. I am pleased to announce that the girls won their group stage and progressed to the quarter finals. Although the team were knocked out at this stage, the girls played fantastic football and worked tremendously hard for one another. Player of the tournament goes to Daisy for her tackling, passing and shooting at goal, as well as showcasing brilliant leadership skills! Well done girls!
