What an exciting week we've had! The children have been busy, diving into new topics, exploring creative projects, and having loads of fun along the way.
In English, we have neared the end of the book and are about to find out what happens to the chaos stone. We have examined the various events and arranged them in order.
We've started a new topic in Maths: perimeter and length. The children have been learning about the different measurements and having a fantastic time learning these new concepts. Keep up the great work, everyone!
In DT, we've been working on our simple circuits. The children experimented with different colours of acetate seeeing what kind of mood each colour creates, and selected their favourite colour for the final design. It's wonderful to see their creativity and problem-solving skills in action.
In Science, we engaged in scientific enquiry and tested various materials to see if they are conductors or insulators. We discovered that metals were the only conductors among the materials we tested. The children were thrilled with their findings and eager to learn more.
In History, we wrapped up our learning on Greek democracy. The children compared Ancient Athenian democracy to modern-day democracy, gaining a deeper understanding of how our world has developed. It was fascinating to see their insights and connections.
Thursday was so much fun! The children came dressed as their favourite musical artists and explored how music can be integrated into any lesson. We had a delightful time in our singing assembly and even enjoyed guessing the weight of the cake. The children's outfits were absolutely brilliant, and their creativity shone through!
This week, we've focused on the 7 times tables with engaging activities. The children have been working hard and making great progress. Keep practising those times tables at home!
For this week's homework, we have:
- A music carousel
- Spellings
- Continued practice of rapid recall times tables
Have a fantastic half term everyone!
