What a lovely week we have had! The children are feeling very Christmassy after their Nativity performances which they really enjoyed.  I was so impressed with them all, especially as it was their first Christmas performance in front of such a large audience. I am sure you all enjoyed it as much as we did. We are very grateful to Mrs Jones, who taught the children the song in their music lessons and I’m sure you will agree she did an amazing job!

In our English lessons this week, the children have explored a text by Joseph Coelho, called ‘Luna loves Christmas.’ Not only is the story Christmas themed, but in the story, Luna delivers food parcels with her family and it helped the children understand the donations that were sent in for the Brick.

We have now completed our D T project, making stockings. I was very impressed with the determination and resilience that some children showed when stitching their stocking together.

In History, the children have continued to learn about postal workers and they have finished the topic off, by comparing pictures of postal workers from now and in the past. They discussed their uniforms, modes if transport and buildings.

In PE, the children have been revisiting skills taught throughout their transport unit. This included jumping on potholes, throwing rockets, running around roundabouts, climbing under and over bridges and catching balls.

Thank you all for showing so much support over these last few weeks.  We appreciate it is a very busy time of year, providing donations, costumes and money to support our PTFA, amongst other things! I honestly cannot believe it is our last week before the Christmas break. We certainly have lots of fun activities lined up to make it one to remember.

Well done as always to our star of the week and dojo winner.
