This week in Year 5.

In Science, we wrapped up our unit with a bang by tackling an enquiry question on separating materials. ๐Ÿงช We put our thinking caps on, recalled everything we’ve learnt, and showed off just how brilliant we are at separating mixtures. Who knew science could be so much fun, right?

In English, our creativity hit new heights as we penned down narratives about April and her further adventures with Bear. ๐Ÿปโœจ Inspired by Hannah Gold's “The Last Bear,” our stories were bursting with imagination and excitement. It’s incredible to see how everyone’s writing has blossomed!

We had the most magical experience watching “The Snowman” with a live performance from the Wigan Youth Orchestra. โ›„๐ŸŽถ The music and the animation together were truly enchanting, and it’s something we’ll remember for a long time.

And let's not forget DT, where we’ve been busy adding the finishing touches to our winter hats. ๐ŸŽฉโ„๏ธ Our sewing skills have really shone through, and now our hats look absolutely fabulous. We can’t wait to see everyone wearing them!

Well Done everyone! One week to go (12 more sleeps!)

Have a great weekend
