Our penultimate week has been another jam-packed learning fiesta!

 

We have continued to blast through our times tables learning and we are doing so well understanding the inverse and facts families. We just have our 12s to conquer and then we will be finished with our lessons on single digit multiplication. However, it is really important we keep on practising rapid recall on all times tables including the inverse until we can confidently answer quick fire questions in 6 seconds. Keep chanting those times tables everyone! 

 

In English, we have continued to develop our ability to analyse characters and have been looking at Elliot, our main character, and examining how he feels at different points in the story so far. we have been trying to find evidence to support our ideas. 

 

In science, we have learned more about the water cycle with a focus on understanding the key vocabulary: evaporation, condensation, and precipitation. We know that evaporation happens when water gets heated up, condensation happens when water vapour cools down. 

 

In Art, we have explored different Greek theatre masks to gather ideas and inspiration for ours. We put our ideas into the plan and we are now ready to make them!
