It has been a very busy week in Year 2 this week.

Tinker McJingles, our Year 2 elf, has been up to mischief this week. Every morning his cheeky antics make the children giggle! Each day is a surprise!

In English, we wrote a setting description to describe the decorative streets for King George Vs coronation. We used expanded noun phrases and prepositions to enhance our writing.

In Maths we have been using the column method to subtract a 2 digit number from a 2 digit number. The children have found this quite challenging so we have had plenty of practice.

In Science, we looked at what a human needs to stay healthy. The children wrote sentences to explain why food, water, exercise, sleep and doing the things we enjoy keep us healthy.

In Geography we matched aerial photographs with London landmarks.

In PE, the children took part in the sponsored 'Elf Dash'. They had such a fun time!

This week, we have been presenting our Christmas Performance. We have loved every minute and the children have shown dedication and commitment throughout. I would like to take this opportunity to thank you for your support with learning lines, costumes and props, it wouldn't be a show without you.

Next week is our last week before the Christmas holidays, let's make it a great one!
