This week we have continued to use paint within Art. We tested the best ways to print in preparation for making block prints for our final project. Also, we practised our sketching techniques and both copied and mirrored a flower that William Morris deigned.
In Maths, we are adding and subtracting. We have really focussed on using our knowledge of number bonds to 10 to help us partition numbers and make it easier to add numbers together.
In our PE sessions, we have practised our throwing and catching skills. It can be tricking to accurately throw to a partner and even tricker to catch on target, but the children made huge efforts and were successful in their attempts.
Music has been very creative this week! We have been exploring key instruments and classical Indian music. In groups, we composed our very own bars, inspired by classical Indian music and performed them to the class.
Our Agriculture topic continues in Geography. This week, we have looked at how the landscape has changed because of farming. This is due to increase in population which has caused a demand for more food and therefore more farms.
On Thursday, we celebrated Mental Health Day! We considered what makes us who we are, ways to make ourselves feel better and even learnt how to doodle in really cool ways.
