                                                              Athletics Training

The Wood Fold Athletics Team have enjoyed their training sessions at Shevington High School over the last few weeks. The children have been working on improving their speed, power and endurance in a wide range of events and activities. These have included the javelin throw, standing triple jump, chest push and relay races. The team are very fortunate to use such excellent facilities and we would like to thank Shevington High School for their kind generosity with letting the children train there on a weekly basis.

                                                            Year 6 Football Friendly 

Yesterday, some of our Year 6 boys competed in a football friendly game against St Joseph’s Wrightington, which was held at Standish Leisure Centre. The team battled hard, showcasing some excellent tackling, passing and shooting at goal. Although the team were defeated, this did not deter their enjoyment of playing against another school and gaining valuable experience. Congratulations goes to Noah, who was nominated by St Joseph’s as the man of the match for Wood Fold.
