In science this week, we have been continuing our learning about teeth. We have examined and compared the teeth of carnivores and herbivores and noticed that herbivores don't generally have canines because they don't need to rip and tear meat. We enjoyed looking at pictures of animal skulls and figuring out what their diet might be like by identifying the types of teeth they have.

We have also carried out an investigation to look at the effect of different liquids on our teeth. Don't worry, we used eggshells, not real teeth!

In Geography, we can now explain why Ghana is an ideal place for growing cocoa. It has a tropical climate because it is close to the equator so it has plenty of rain and sunshine all year round. Ghana is also ideal for growing cocoa because it has lots of tall trees that provide shade and has rich soil full of nutrients.
We have started to look at how cocoa becomes chocolate and the different processes it goes through.
