This week, in Art, we have experimented with colour. The children recalled the primary and secondary colours and explored which primary colours can be mixed together to make secondary colours. This helped the children to use just red, blue, yellow and white to colour match colours used with William Morris's artwork.
Year 3 welcomed Rev. Holliday into the classroom on Wednesday. The children were given the opportunity to ask the Reverend questions about his job, his life as a priest and Christianity in general to help them with their current RE topic.
The children have worked super hard in English this week. After a rollercoaster of events and emotions as the yetis travelled from the Himalayas to England, the children wrote their very own chapter of the book! They were able to describe what the luxury mansion and explain what the grounds were like and even created their very own character.
In Science, our celery experiment came to a close. The children used their scientific skills of observation to identify how water travels through a plant. The children also made incredible dual coded mind maps to explore what plants need to grow.
This afternoon, in Spanish, the children continued learning how to say simple elements of conversation. They learned how to ask 'how are you?' - ¿cómo estás? After that, we looked at different responses to the question.
Finally, I'm thrilled to say that we won the most Pom-Poms in KS2 this week! Inside the platinum lunchbox there was biscuits for us all to enjoy!
