We have had another amazing week in Y2M, with lots of new learning and super work taking place!
In Maths, we have continued to explore 'place value'. We have been using mathematical vocabulary such as 'greater than, less than and equals to' to compare objects and numbers. We have also been working hard to recall our 5 times table.
This week in English, we have really enjoyed reading our new text 'Katie in London' by James Mayhew. We discussed how the lion felt when he came to life and what the people thought when they saw a lion bounding out of Trafalgar Square.
During our DT lessons, we have continued to work on our sewing skills. We used the running stitch on binca then on felt. We are now looking forward to making our very own bags for Paddington!
In Science, we looked at the meaning of the word 'offspring'. We sorted pictures of animals with their young and created a graphic organiser.
Our author of the week has been Jane Hissey, we learnt about her life and looked at one of her books called 'Old Bear'.
Well done Y2M for all your hard work this week, you should all be very proud of yourselves.
Have a lovely weekend and I will see you all on Monday morning for another exciting week of learning!
