It has been another busy week in RH this week as the children have continued to learn about dinosaurs. I have been amazed by some of the children's knowledge - definitely some future palaeontologists and documentary makers among us!
In Maths we have been comparing size, mass and capacity. The children have explored which items in the classroom are heavier and lighter and had had lots of fun creating potions whilst investigating which containers hold more and less liquid.
We have created a story map to help us retell Little Red Riding Hood and have had fun telling the story with toys and through role play in the home area.
We have introduced three new sounds in our Sounds Write lessons this week: /n/, /o/ and /p/. The children have been trying really hard with their letter formation and are beginning to read and write words with 3 sounds. We are excited to be sending reading books home next week, which we will discuss at our reading meeting on Monday.
We have been thinking about our Inspire target - being an independent thinker and have been trying hard to show independence in getting ready to go outside and getting changed for PE.
Well done to our Star of the Week and Dojo winner, we are very proud of you.
We have continued to explore signs of Autumn and talked about the changes happening around us. It would be lovely to hear about anything the children discover over the weekend.
Have a lovely weekend.
